Most UFC or MMA fighters use some form of it as the basis for the stand-up or striking aspect of their sport. It is also known as the art of eight limbs because you strike with your fists, elbows, knees, and shins. There are no forms or katas and no belt or ranking system. The advantages of Muay Thai over other forms of martial arts is that Muay Thai is very simplistic yet very brutal and effective in sport, self defense, and as a genuinely fun form of fitness. Our program is much more than any cardio-kick class that you may have taken in the past! You will learn the actual techniques used by professional fighters. You will not be simply going through the motions or striking the air. This is a pad drill program and you will have the opportunity to strike a series of training pads through unlimited combinations using all of your "eight limbs"! |
